For the first time with the participation of Caixa Econômica Federal and Enel, the Feirão Limpa Nome da Serasa has negotiated, since November, more than 4 million debts. In the different service channels, digital or face-to-face, agreements were signed that add up to around R$ 10 billion in discounts throughout the country. The event, which takes place in partnership with 267 companies, runs until December 5 on online platforms and until December 3 in physical tents. The number of defaulters in the country is on the rise for the 9th consecutive month and reaches 68.39 million people. In September, people with overdue debts totaled 68.3 million, according to Serasa’s Bad Debt and Debt Negotiation Map. The sum of all debts exceeds R$ 295 billion, which is equivalent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the sum of all wealth in the state of Bahia. Caixa is offering discounts of up to 90% for the debts of 4 million customers, which include credit cards, overdrafts, working capital, etc. Enel’s overdue bills, in turn, can be settled with discounts of up to 55% and installments in 12 installments. According to Serasa, companies offer discounts of up to 99% and immediate negative cancellation. The average amount of debt of defaulting Brazilians is R$ 4,324.42 and the segment of banks and cards concentrates most of the overdue accounts, with 29.45%. In São Paulo, a tent was set up in Largo da Batata, west of the city, for face-to-face assistance. There, it is possible to take advantage, for example, of the conditions offered by Caixa Econômica Federal’s Você no Azul campaign. According to the bank, around 80% of those contemplated in this campaign can settle their debts by paying up to R$ 1,000. There are also tents in Rio de Janeiro, in Cinelândia; and in Belo Horizonte, at Praça da Estação. In addition, interested parties can seek assistance at the 11,000 post offices participating in the initiative. Anyone who wants to negotiate debts through Feirão Limpa Nome can access the Serasa website or the app on the Play Store and Apple Store.
