With a total of 45 films starring native peoples, the 1st Indigenous Film and Culture Festival will be held in Brasília until the next 11th. federal District. Among the productions, ten were selected for the official award. The works, which tell the story of indigenous people from the perspective of the indigenous people themselves, will compete in the categories Best Film by the specialized jury and Best Film by the popular jury, with prizes of R$ 5 thousand and R$ 3 thousand. Another attraction is the Parallel Show, with 20 productions, three of which were selected to participate in the festival’s laboratory for finalizing audiovisual projects. The Guest Show will have 15 films, including works by filmmakers who are not part of the indigenous universe, but who are in line with the show. The full festival schedule can be found here.
