Covid-19: Brazil records 181 deaths and 42,600 cases in 24 hours

The state and municipal health departments recorded, in 24 hours, 42,681 new cases of covid-19 and 181 more deaths from complications associated with the disease. The data are in the update released this Wednesday (21) by the Ministry of Health. The states of Tocantins, Mato Grosso do Sul and Piauí did not send information about the disease. With the new information, the total number of people infected by the new coronavirus during the pandemic already amounts to 36,044,441. The number of cases of covid-19 in monitoring is at 661,052. The term is used to designate cases notified in the last 14 days that did not result in discharge or progress to death. With today’s numbers, the total number of deaths has reached 692,461 since the beginning of the pandemic. There are still 3,190 deaths under investigation.
