Child dies in landslide in Espirito Santo

A child died buried in a landslide in the city of Ibitirama, in Espírito Santo, last night (21). The information was released by the Civil Defense of the state today (22). The incident took place in the district of Santa Marta, which was affected by heavy rains. According to Civil Defense, the landslide hit two houses. In one of them, the family was buried, but the child did not resist. The Itapemirim River also filled and flooded some streets in the city of Ibitirama. In Colatina, some buildings collapsed, but without victims. More than 1,600 people are out of their homes because of the rains across the state. The municipalities with the most homeless people are Mimoso do Sul, São Mateus and Nova Venécia.
