We need lower interest rates to attract more buyers to new vehicles, especially entry-level models. In addition, topics such as reindustrialization and decarbonization pose challenges and opportunities for us,” he said. According to him, the sector will continue to maintain dialogue with the new government officials at the federal and state level, in addition to parliamentarians, to contribute to the strengthening of the automobile industry in the face of the increasingly competitive global situation. Projections For the year 2023, Anfavea foresees the production of 2.42 million vehicle units, which represents an increase of 2.2%. Sales should reach 2.17 million units, with an increase of 3% compared to 2022. Exports should reach 467 thousand units, which would result in a drop of 2.9%, in comparison with previous numbers.
