For cross-country skiing: Aline Rocha is Brazil’s 1st World Champion

Aline Rocha, from Paraná, won an unprecedented gold for the country in the quick test (sprint) at the Cross-Country Ski World Cup, in Ostersund (Sweden). This Tuesday (24) the athlete – who had already won a bronze on Sunday (22) – set the best time (3min10s38) when completing the 1 kilometer distance, leaving behind the North American Kendall Gretsch (3min11s67) and German Anja Wicker (3min13s35). She ended her participation in ninth place in the qualifying.
