This Sunday (29) is the National Day of Transgender Visibility. The date aims to promote rights and combat prejudice against transgender people. In 2015, Portal EBC produced the multimedia special “I, trans, want to show you who I am”. In the special, these three questions were asked: TV Brasil has also already made content about the date: On January 30th, National Comics Day is celebrated. The date was created in memory of the launch of the comic book “The adventures of Nhô-quim”, in 1869. Repórter Brasil and TV Brasil programs, TV Brasil, have already spoken about the celebration: The week also has the World Magician’s Day (January 31) and Iemanjá Day (same date celebrated by Catholics as Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes Day). In 2016, the EBC Portal explained the origins of the date. In the same year, the Momento Três program made a list of songs created in honor of the “Queen of the Sea”. To end the week of celebration and awareness dates, February 4th is World Cancer Day. The event aims to raise awareness about ways to prevent the disease, and was created in 2008 by the International Union Against Cancer (UICC). One of the tips, published in Agência Brasil two years ago, points to the benefits of physical exercise. Another points to the importance of routine examinations and early diagnosis of the disease.
