The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, determined this Friday (3) the opening of an investigation to investigate the statements of Senator Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES) that he had received a proposal to participate in a coup d’etat. This week, the senator declared that he participated in a meeting with former president Jair Bolsonaro and former deputy Daniel Silveira, which aimed to induce the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, to “recognise” that went beyond the four lines of the Constitution with the former President of the Republic. In the determination, Alexandre de Moraes alleges that the senator presented a different version of the facts when heard by the Federal Police and, therefore, the investigation of the crimes of false testimony, slander and coercion in the process must be carried out. “After the hearing, the rapporteur found that the senator presented four antagonistic versions of the fact, the last one in a statement to the PF, which demonstrates the “pertinence and necessity” of carrying out diligences for its complete clarification and for the investigation of the crimes of false testimony, slanderous denunciation and coercion in the course of the process”. The minister also ordered the press vehicles that spoke with the senator to forward the entirety of the interviews, as well as requesting access to the live held by Marcos do Val on social networks.
