Removal After the rains, Public Order agents removed 39 vehicles stopped in the streets and taken to safe places, clearing the roads and making traffic flow. Many of the vehicles had broken down or fallen into potholes and craters that had opened up in the city’s streets. The Rio+Seguro team also helped with the removal of a vehicle, with two people, that had fallen into a crater on Rua Aires Saldanha, in the Copacabana neighborhood. The car was tied to the garrison and pulled out avoiding a major accident. “We faced a challenge in the face of the rains that caused the city to enter an alert stage and, for that very reason, we intensified the work of the street operational teams. In addition to the Civil Defense technical team with the inspections of the occurrences, we also activated the municipal agents, mainly the agents who work in traffic to provide vehicles with greater fluidity, and also the operators of trailers. It was fundamental for the city to dawn without any type of impediment caused by broken down vehicles. It was an important operational action and we continue on the streets working to for the city to function at its normal stage”, said the Secretary of Public Order, Brenno Carnevale.
