Paralympic swimming: Gabriel Araújo wins two golds in Italy

The Brazilian delegation got off to a good start in the World Series of Paralympic swimming in Lignano (Italy), winning four medals (three gold and one silver) this Thursday (9). The highlight was Gabriel Araújo, from the S2 class (severe physical-motor impairments), who won two races. The third gold medal for Brazil this Thursday was guaranteed by Cecília de Araújo, in the 100-metre freestyle class S8 (moderate physical-motor impairments), in which she managed a time of 1min8s76. The fourth Brazilian medal was João Pedro Brutos’ silver in the 100-meter breaststroke class SB14 (intellectual disability).
