The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes ordered today (10) the release of over 80 men arrested after the anti-democratic acts of January 8. Those investigated respond for incitement to crime and criminal association. In exchange for granting freedom, the accused must comply with precautionary measures, such as the use of an electronic faucet, a ban on using social networks and leaving the country, in addition to the suspension of authorizations to carry a firearm. The decision was approved by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR). According to the STF, of the 1,400 people arrested after the coup acts, 440 men and 82 women are still being held in prisons in the Federal District. The others were also released. So far, the PGR has made 919 complaints against those investigated. Of the total, 700 involve the conduct of incitement to crime, incitement of animosity by the Armed Forces against democratic institutions and criminal association, and 219 are about crimes of qualified damage, abolition of the Democratic State of Law and coup d’état.
