Carnival artist Mario Borrielo dies in Rio de Janeiro

The body of carnival artist Mário Borrielo was laid to rest this Sunday (12) and will be buried later today at the São João Batista Cemetery, in Botafogo, in the south zone of Rio. He died yesterday (11), aged 77, at Casa Rio Botafogo Hospital, in the south zone of the city. His partner, Jefferson Borrielo, told Agência Brasil that the cause of her husband’s death was a generalized infection. Two years ago he was fighting leukemia. “He was hospitalized for the treatment of some bedsores and then he contracted an infection that got worse and worse.
