Defender Bremer, from Juventus (Italy), and striker Yuri Alberto, from Corinthians, were summoned to the Brazilian men’s team that faces Morocco in a friendly next Saturday (25th), at 7 pm (Brasília time), at Ibn Batouta Stadium, in the Moroccan city of Tangier. They replace Marquinhos, from Paris Saint-Germain (France), and Richarlison, from Tottenham (England), both injured. Present at the last World Cup, Bremer was in two matches in Qatar: the 1-0 defeat by Cameroon (in the title) and the 4-0 defeat of South Korea (entered the final stage). The 25-year-old defender defended Brazil on three occasions. Yuri Alberto, in turn, received his first opportunity in the main team. He had previously been called up to the under-20 and pre-Olympic teams. The striker turned 22 on Saturday (18), just when he was informed of the call-up. Marquinhos suffered an abdominal injury on March 8, in PSG’s 2-0 defeat by Bayern at the Allianz Arena in Munich (Germany), in the round of 16 of the European Champions League. According to the French team, the defender is still recovering and training separately from the squad. Richarlison, in turn, left the field crying, just five minutes into the first half, in Tottenham’s 3-3 draw with Southampton at St. Louis. Mary’s Stadium, at the opponent’s home, for the 28th round of the English Championship. The striker’s club did not disclose the injury, but informed the doctor of the Brazilian team, Rodrigo Lasmar, that the athlete would not be able to play on Saturday. The duel against Morocco will be Brazil’s first match since the World Cup in Qatar. Still without a coach after Tite’s departure, the team will be led by Ramon Menezes, coach of the under-20 team, which was South American champion in the category.
