Bia Ferreira, Jucielen and Bia Soares go to the quarterfinals of the Boxing World Cup

This Tuesday (21), Brazil scored three more boxers in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Boxing World Cup, in New Delhi (India). Among them, Beatriz Ferreira from Bahia, number 1 in the world in the up to 60 kg category. Silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, world champion in 2019 and runner-up last year, Bia Ferreira advanced in the competition by debuting today with a victory (5-0) over Australian Danielle Scanlon. Bahian Bárbara Santos, the first to advance to the quarterfinals, will also be back in the ring on Wednesday morning (22). South American champion last year, the 26-year-old São Paulo woman is looking to climb to the podium of a World Cup for the first time in her career. In the quarterfinals, she will face the Italian Irma Testa, leader of the world ranking in the 57 kg category and current world runner-up. Debuting in World Cups, Beatriz Soares made the last one representing Brazil this Tuesday (21). Last year’s champion of the Americas, Bia advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Australian Marissa Williamson in the under-66 kg match (4-1).
