With the world of games as a major highlight, the fifth edition of Campus Party Brasilia begins this Wednesday (5th), at the National Mané Garrincha Stadium, in the federal capital, and runs until Sunday (9th). “We are going to bring, for the first time at Campus Party, in Brasília, a large arena, Campus Play, where we will hold a games championship, with several games. The big winner will play an exhibition match against Los Grandes, which is one of the biggest e-sports teams in Brazil, which will also be there with all its participants speaking”, says the CEO of Campus Party, Tonico Novaes. 5th Campus Party Brasilia starts this Wednesday. Fabio Rodrigues-Pozzebom/ Agência Brasil The schedule includes lectures with well-known names in the gamer world, such as the Free Fire world champion, Bruno Goes dos Santos, better known as Nobru, and the gamer and content creator, Bruno PlayHard Bittencourt. To follow the lectures of the influencers, it is possible to make a free online registration. During the Campus Party Brasilia launch press conference, the president of honor of the Campus Party Institute, Francesco Farruggia, recalled that it is not just about focusing on the act of playing, but it is an opportunity “for [os jovens] learn the ‘business’ of gamers”. Another novelty of the edition is that for the first time the Printer Chef will be held, a gastronomy competition with a different meat, produced in a 3D printer. The campuseiros, as the regulars are known, will also be able to participate in Fashion Tech, a hackathon, that is, a programming marathon, to unite fashion and technology. The expectation is that in the future the technology will be transferred to our clothes and accessories. “According to futurist Amy Webb, in two years, the smartphone will disappear and all the functions that the smartphone has will be transferred to our clothes, to our glasses, to our watch, to our ring. That’s a trend. So, we are already encouraging this type of applicability through the Campus Party Fashion Tech”, explained Tonico Novaes. Campus people camped at Mané Garrincha Stadium – Fabio Rodrigues-Pozzebom/ Agência Brasil Evento Campus Party is an environment to connect ideas and create solutions to solve challenges for the benefit of society as a whole. “In 2019, we held a hackathon with the Ministry of Health, a challenge to find a solution to digitize the vaccination card. In March 2020, it came to Covid. The only country in the world that had an app to prove vaccination was Brazil. And that is how ConectaSUS was born, in a Campus Party, with a hackathon, here in Brasilia”, highlighted its creator Francesco Farruggia.
