In a ceremony at the Planalto Palace, he said that the federal government intends to make a difference by overcoming the difficulties that arise. “Thank the people who think that Brazil is not doing well, who are critical. They are saying exactly what we shouldn’t do, “he said. According to Lula, from January to March this year, the government pledged BRL 3.3 billion, against BRL 892 million pledged by the government of Jair Bolsonaro in the first three months of last year. Lula cited, in the same period, R$ 323 million invested in water resources against R$ 82 million in the previous year; BRL 535 million in science and technology against BRL 128 million in 2022; BRL 145 million in health infrastructure against BRL 56 million in the previous year; BRL 328 million in waterways against BRL 34 million in 2022; and R$203 million in housing against no investment in the first three months of last year. “This is a small demonstration of how we are going to make a difference in this country. And we are going to make a difference by overcoming the difficulties that present themselves to us, ”he said. “Brazil voted to take care of what was urgent and urgent, to take care of its people”, he concluded.
