The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) asked the Federal Supreme Court (STF) this Friday (14) for full access to documents on the investigations into the January 8 coup acts. In a petition sent to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, Federal Deputy Attorney Carlos Frederico Santos stated that the measure is necessary to proceed with the part of the investigation that involves the conduct of public agents and the financiers of the acts. According to the prosecution, three causes are being investigated regarding the “operational inability” of the Military Police of the Federal District in containing the depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers: the simultaneous removal of the main officers of the corporation on the day of the acts, the effective absence of substitutes and the omission of the troops who were close to the Vandals. The subprosecutor wants access to the security protocol that was signed by the DF bodies two days before the acts, the requests for police removals and intelligence reports produced by the PM. The first phase of the investigation of coup acts has already been completed by the PGR. 1,300 people accused of executing and inciting coup acts were denounced to the Supreme Court. The first 100 complaints will be judged on Tuesday (18).
