The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, canceled his participation in the ceremony for the transition to the position of military commander for the Southeast, this Monday (17) in the morning. According to the governor’s press office, the cancellation occurred on medical recommendation, after Freitas underwent a surgical procedure on Saturday (15). The governor is doing well and will follow internal agendas at Palácio dos Bandeirantes during the week. The surgery was performed in addition to the one performed at the end of March in London, England, when he was hospitalized due to a kidney stone. At the time, Freitas was fulfilling an international agenda, when he fell ill and interrupted his commitments. With symptoms of a kidney crisis, the governor was treated by a medical team and spent the night in the hospital.
