Four people were injured during an explosion at a residential condominium in Morro do Elefante, in the municipality of Campos do Jordão, in the interior of São Paulo, on Saturday night (22). According to information from the Civil Defense of the state, the suspicion, so far, is that the accident occurred due to a gas leak in one of the apartments. Ten of the 32 apartments in the condominium were affected by the explosion. In all, there were four victims with injuries. A 24-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Municipal Hospital of Taubaté. One, aged 52, and another teenager, aged 14, with minor injuries, received care at the Municipal Hospital of Campos do Jordão. The building was evacuated and interdicted by the Civil Defense of the municipality. Although there are clues as to the cause of the accident, the site will undergo expertise and the case will be followed up by the Civil Police.
