Fluminense fan shot by criminal police discharged

The Badim Hospital, in the Maracanã neighborhood, informed, this Thursday (27), that Fluminense fan Bruno Tonini, 38 years old, was discharged from the health unit. He is a photographer and was in a bar near the Maracanã Stadium, with a group of friends, on the 1st of this month, when criminal police officer Marcelo de Lima shot nine times with a pistol, wounding Bruno and killing cameraman Thiago Mota. Friends celebrated Fluminense’s victory over Flamengo, in the first match of the Carioca Championship final. The agent Marcelo Lima, assigned to the State Department of Penitentiary Administration (Seap) is under preventive detention decreed by the Justice. The state Public Prosecutor’s Office reports that, at around 10:52 pm, in front of Pizzeria Os Renatos, Marcelo would have said that “a petista is the same as a Flamengo supporter, everything is stupid and a thief”, which provoked the revolt of the victims. The document sent to the 4th Criminal Court of the Capital informs that “the crimes were committed for a base reason, due to Marcelo’s non-conformity with the political positions expressed by the victims after his statements, using a means that resulted in common danger, since the accused shot on a public road, with a large number of people circulating and socializing in local bars. In addition, the crimes were committed through a resource that made it difficult for the victims to defend themselves, caught unawares by the unexpected action of the accused”.
