It is with great sadness and regret that I announce the passing of my husband @davidmirandario. He would have been 38 years old tomorrow. His passing this morning comes after a 9 month struggle in the ICU. David passed in peace, surrounded by our children, family and friends. pic.twitter.com/AANamJvxIj — Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) May 9, 2023 A few weeks ago, Greenwald wrote on his blog that the infection quickly spread to other organs through his bloodstream. “By far, David’s greatest dream, and the one that gave him the greatest pride and purpose, was to be a father. He was the most devoted and loving father. He taught me how to be a father. And our truly exceptional boys – with their own rough starts in life – are his greatest legacy,” Greenwald wrote on Twitter today. David, would have turned 38 on Wednesday (10). He assumed his term as federal deputy in February 2019, replacing Jean Wyllys, who withdrew from taking office in the Federal Chamber. He held the position until his hospitalization, in August 2022. Repercussion On his Twitter profile, the President of the Republic Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva lamented the death of the former parliamentarian: “he left too soon.” My condolences to @ggreenwald and family for the loss of David Miranda.
