The government of the state of São Paulo launches this Wednesday (17), International Day against LGBTphobia, the public notice +Pride to contemplate producers and cultural collectives of the LGBTI+ community with an investment of R$ 750 thousand. 30 projects will be selected for the promotion of stops in the interior and coast of the state. The public call, managed by the social organization Amigos da Arte, will be open to individuals and companies from the interior and coast of the state from this Wednesday to June 2nd. Applications must be made through the organization’s website. “The publication of the call was one of our first challenges ahead of Amigos da Arte and we are very committed to working for the benefit of the decentralization of culture, as directed by secretary Marília Marton [Secretaria da Cultura e Economia Criativa]”, said, in a note, Glaucio Franca, director of Amigos da Arte, linked to the folder. On Thursday (11), Franca participated in a meeting to identify the main demands of the LGBTI+ sector, which, according to him, was important for the design of the notice. The selected projects will be announced on June 12, the day after the 27th edition of the LGBTI+ Pride Parade in São Paulo, the biggest event for this population in Latin America.
