The investigated, according to the PF, invade areas of permanent preservation in Praia da Puruba, deforest and surround the land, continuing with the construction of properties and subsequent resale to third parties. The investigation covers incidents at Praia da Puruba, in Ubatuba, and Navy land in the region. The crimes to be investigated include destruction and damage to forest considered to be of permanent preservation, irregular subdivision of land and criminal association. “One of those investigated is also suspected of violent practices against residents of the locality who rebelled against his threats, including strong suspicions of illegally carrying a firearm, which is why his preventive detention was determined by the Judiciary Power of Caraguatatuba/SP” , reported the PF. After this Wednesday’s steps, the PF informed that testimonies will be collected from those investigated and the criminal investigation process will be forwarded to the Federal Judiciary Power and the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office for analysis.
