The last commitment this Sunday was the meeting with the “Group of Notables”, the name given to leaders of large Japanese business groups with investments in Brazil. President Lula highlighted the need for partnerships between the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the Bank of Japan for International Cooperation (JBIC). “Also according to the president, the dialogue with the group will continue, as well as the plans discussed at the meeting. In addition, the Brazilian government will promote new contacts between the group of notable Japanese and the Brazilian business community, for the expansion of partnerships and investments”, explained the Presidency, in a statement.
