The investigations began last year after information passed on by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an American non-governmental organization (NGO) that centralizes the receipt of complaints about crimes related to child sexual abuse and the disappearance of children. Under US law, companies providing internet services are required to report cases of suspected child sexual exploitation by people who travel on their networks. A total of 364 occurrences involving such conduct were recorded through equipment linked to the suspect. The actions of the Police Station for Repression of Cyber Crimes of the Regional Superintendence in Pernambuco identified that the suspect has a strong interest in the subject of incest, with the possibility that he has already committed libidinous acts with children of his own family, incurring the crime of rape of vulnerable. The PF complied with warrants for preventive arrest and search and seizure in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, granted by the 4th Federal Court of Recife, which resulted in the seizure of computers, notebooks, cell phones and other media with potential for storing images and videos containing scenes of child sexual abuse.
