Brazilian Lauro Chaman secured his third Paralympic cycling World Cup title after scoring 296 points in the three stages of the competition, which were held in Maniago (Italy), Ostend (Belgium) and Huntsville (United States). “What a wonderful feeling to win the overall World Cup again a year before the Paralympics [que serão disputados em Paris]. Chaman began to shine in the first stage of the World Cup, in Maniago, in which he won the time trial and came second in the endurance race. In Belgium, the Brazilian secured a bronze medal in the time trial and fourth place in the endurance race. The Brazilian had already secured the World Cup title in 2017 and 2019. He also won two Paralympic medals, at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, one silver and one bronze.
