Thiago Brennand becomes a defendant in a new process and has his sixth prison sentence

The Court of the Central Forum of Domestic and Family Violence Against Women of São Paulo received, this Thursday (1st), a complaint offered by the Public Ministry (MP) against Thiago Brennand for the crime of rape. Another preventive arrest was decreed against the businessman. The information is from the Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJ). Now, he is a defendant in nine cases and has requested preventive detention in six of them. In addition to the attacks and rapes against women, the businessman is still being investigated for assaulting his son and for having a collection of illegal weapons. Cases involving Thiago Brennand gained notoriety after the release of security camera footage from a gym in São Paulo, in which he is caught assaulting a model. As a result of this episode, the Justice of São Paulo ordered his arrest. First day of trial Last Tuesday (30th), the first day of Brennand’s trial took place, related to another lawsuit, which runs at the 2nd Court of Porto Feliz, in the interior of São Paulo. Chaired by Judge Fernando Henrique Masseroni Mayer, the victim and three defense witnesses were heard at the hearing. According to the TJ, the continuation of the hearing was scheduled for the next 21st, at 2 pm, for the hearing of the five remaining defense witnesses and the interrogation of the defendant. All hearings, including the interrogation, take place in the virtual format.
