The Spanish Anti-Violence Commission – collegiate body of the Superior Council of Sports of Spain – proposed this Monday (5), after a meeting at the Superior Council of Sports, the imposition of a fine of 60 thousand euros (the equivalent of R$ 316.8 thousand) and a ban for two years in sporting environments to the four suspected of hanging a black doll with the Real Madrid shirt number 20, worn by Brazilian striker Vinícius Júnior, from a bridge in the Spanish capital. Next to the inflatable doll, there was a red and white banner – in allusion to the colors of Atlético de Madrid – with the phrase “Madrid hates Real”. The four fans were identified as members of an organized crowd and are still under investigation by the court of justice for a hate crime. The Anti-Violence Commission, which deals with cases of racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sports activities, also suggested increasing the amount of the fine – from 4,000 euros to 5,000 euros (R$ 26,000 reais) – to the three identified individuals for uttering insults racists against Vini Jr. on the 21st of May, during the match between Real Madrid and Valencia, in the Spanish Championship organized by LaLiga. The Commission justified the increase in the fine by “understanding that the perpetrators were aware that their acts were reprehensible and for having repeated the actions throughout this season”. all 10 attacks since 2021 -, the Spanish police arrested seven suspects: four arrests refer to those involved in the case of the black doll hanging from a bridge in front of the Training Center (TC) of Real Madrid, and the others were identified as fans of the Valence.
