An explosion in a boiler at a resin factory left five people injured this morning (22) in the city of Várzea Paulista, in the interior of São Paulo. According to the city hall, one of the victims is in serious condition and was taken to a reference hospital in the city of Jundiaí. The others were taken by the rescue and the City Hall’s Emergency Care Service to an emergency care unit (UPA). According to firefighters, the explosion occurred around 7 am, on Eurípedes de Camillo Street. The fire has now been extinguished, and the building is closed. The Fire Department informed that, at this moment, teams from Civil Defense, policing and the Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo (Cetesb) are investigating the site.
