The drumming of the drums, the dedication in the costumes, the swaying and the rhythm of each step to show the samba on the foot announce a different “sextou” in Brasília. After almost ten years, the federal capital will have a samba school parade. This weekend, June 23rd to 25th, the Ibero-American cultural axis will be the stage for the parade of 13 associations in the city, with an expected audience of 40,000 people. Of the total number of associations, six belong to the special group and seven belong to the access group. The Secretary of Culture of the Federal District, Bartolomeu Rodrigues, points out that holding the parades is a job that involves the effort of entire families. “It’s actually a result of a very involving whole family project. I saw a lot of people saying here: “Oh, I’m going to go home on a ride. We stayed here until late at night to learn this here. This is a very great wealth, this has a return. The return, not only because of the economy, because it involves a very large chain of people. We estimate for this return of this parade to benefit around 4,000 people”, he said. The parade of the 13 samba schools was supported by the Government of the Federal District, with a transfer of R$ 7 million. Inclusion and accessibility The parade will also be a moment for realizing dreams, inclusion and accessibility. One of these dreams is that of Thaynnara Ramos, who will be the third flag bearer of the Associação Recreativa Cultural Unidos do Cruzeiro samba school, Aruc. A wish she has had since childhood , shown in barracks and also in school parades. Shining as she carried the school banner, Thaynnara lost her arm to cancer, but she did not abandon her dream. And now she enters the history of Brazilian carnival as the first person with a disability to become flag bearer of a samba school. “Eight years without stepping on the avenue and I’m back in the spotlight. It started with my grandmother, then my mother. And then I went, my brothers came. I’m still there today, I grew up here on the court. Everyone knows me from the belly, ”she said. The parades of the samba schools of the DF special group will be broadcast on TV Brasil. On Friday (23), the access group schools will start the parade at 8 pm, the special group will start at 12:15 am. On Saturday (24), the access group starts at 8 pm, and the special group starts at 11:10 pm. On Sunday (25), there will be the calculation at 2 pm (access group) and 4 pm (special group).
