The digital influencer Bruno Monteiro Aiub, known as Monark, testified, this Thursday (29), to the Federal Police (PF). The hearing was determined last week by Minister Alexandre de Moraes after the influencer had his social media accounts blocked. In recent posts, he was accused by the minister of spreading “fraudulent news” about the elections. In the statement, Monark reiterated criticism of the TSE and told the delegate responsible for the case that he “suspects that there was no transparency” in the elections. “Asked if he believes that, in his words, the TSE practiced `maracutaia` to influence the results of the elections, he replied that he believes that, given the context of how the elections took place, he suspects that there was no transparency ”says the statement. When asked about statements he made about the electoral system, the influencer said he “just expressed his opinion”. “Asked if he was aware that he was not sure that the information he passed on about the electoral system was true and that it could influence the conduct of his followers, especially at a time when tempers were running high, he replied that he did not divulge information, he just expressed his opinion and his line of reasoning”, points out the document. Bruno Aiub still denied that he had encouraged the coup acts of January 8 in the posts. “He claims that the incentive to invade Congress and public buildings is false. He did not encourage the demonstration and claims that his lines in the tweet about the demonstration were just empathizing with the feelings of revolt that some demonstrators showed. At no time did he encourage demonstration and depredation,” he concluded. Video In the recording that led Moraes to block the influencer’s social networks, Monark commented on the role of the Supreme Court and the TSE and made insinuations about the electoral process. The video was posted on the Rumble social network on June 5. “Because he [Supremo] is willing to guarantee non-transparency in the elections? Do we see the TSE censoring people, Alexandre de Moraes arresting people, a lot of things happening and, at the same time, they preventing the polls from being transparent? You get suspicious. What nonsense is happening at the polls there? What’s the interest? Manipulate the polls? Manipulate the elections?”, said Monark. Defense After the blocking of social networks, Monark’s defense appealed to the Supreme Court to annul the decision. According to the lawyers, Moraes took the measure ex officio, without any request from the police or the Public Ministry .
