The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) opened the fourth session to judge the action that could lead to the ineligibility of former president Jair Bolsonaro for eight years. The session started at 12:20 pm. The court judges the conduct of the former president during a meeting held with ambassadors, in July last year, at Palácio da Alvorada, to attack the electronic voting system. The legality of the meeting was questioned by the PDT. After three trial sessions, the score is 3 votes to 1 for Bolsonaro’s conviction for abuse of political power and misuse of the media to spread false information to discredit the election counting system. The session was resumed with the vote of minister Cármen Lúcia. If the minister votes to condemn Bolsonaro, a majority of four votes will be formed for ineligibility. Then, the voting will proceed to take the last votes, which will be pronounced by Nunes Marques and Alexandre de Moraes. The plenary is composed of seven ministers. The TSE formed a majority for the acquittal of Braga Netto, candidate for vice president on Bolsonaro’s ticket in the 2022 elections. His name was included in the process by the PDT.
