National Force will support security actions in indigenous lands in RS

The Official Journal of the Union publishes, this Tuesday (18), Ordinance No. 423, of July 16, 2023, of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, which deals with the use of the National Public Security Force, in support of the state from Rio Grande do Sul. The military will act, for 90 days, in actions of public security agencies of the state, in the region of the Indigenous Land Guarita, in the municipalities of Tenente Portela, Redentora and Miraguaí; and in the Nonoai Indigenous Land, in the municipality of Planalto. The National Force will be present in the activities and services essential to the preservation of public order and the safety of people and preservation of heritage, on an episodic and planned basis. The document, signed by Minister Flávio Dino, determines that the number of military personnel to be made available will comply with the planning defined by the Directorate of the National Public Security Force.
