Law extends right to priority care for autistic people

With the enactment of Law No. 14,626 by Vice President Geraldo Alckimin, the groups entitled to priority care in Brazil were expanded, including people with autism spectrum disorder, people with reduced mobility and blood donors. With the new norm, these groups will be served first in airports, banks, cinemas, hospitals and other services provided to the public. The sanction of the law was published this Thursday (20) in the Official Gazette. Approved in June of this year by the National Congress, the text states that “priority service may be carried out by discriminating the stations, boxes, counters, lines or specific attendants for this purpose”.
