The President of the Republic Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was this Sunday (23) at the Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in São Paulo, for routine exams. According to the presidency’s advisory, he also underwent an infiltration procedure to reduce pain in his hips, resulting from arthrosis. From the capital of São Paulo, Lula heads to São Bernardo do Campo, where he participates in the anniversary of the ABC Metalworkers’ Union. Cradle of the president’s political trajectory, the union completes 64 years with a history of struggles in defense of workers and democracy. After the event on ABC, this Sunday, Lula returns to Brasília.
