Monday (24) began with less movement than usual at the Esplanada dos Ministérios, in Brasília. Due to the debut game of the women’s soccer team in the World Cup, the servers of the Federal Executive had an optional point today and start working at noon. Brazil debuted in the competition against Panama, at 8 am. The Cup takes place in Australia and New Zealand. According to the ordinance of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, servers that choose to see the games will be able to present themselves up to two hours after the final whistle. The change in office hours is the same as the one made by the federal government on match dates for Brazil in the men’s soccer World Cup. On the 2nd of August, a Wednesday, the women’s team will face Jamaica, starting at 7:00 am, and the working hours begin at 11:00 am. The second match of the first sentence, against France, takes place on Saturday (29). Changes for other days are guaranteed depending on the evolution of the women’s team in the competition. Hours not worked must be compensated later during the second semester. Likewise, the government of the Federal District also decreed an optional point on game days. However, the servers will not need to reset the times. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva accompanied the game from his official residence, at Palácio da Alvorada, alongside ministers of State.
