According to the delegate, the specialist has acted in the fight against piracy to curb the sale of counterfeit products, which harm industries and consumers, and with the aim of financially asphyxiating criminal organizations that profit from these illicit activities. In the action, the police also seized cell phones, computers and other objects, which will be analyzed in the course of the investigation. The police station will also investigate whether two internet buying and selling platforms are aware of the sale of pirated goods through the practice of “dropshipping”. Those responsible for the virtual stores were taken to the police station and gave testimony about the origin of the products sold. They will answer, in principle, for a crime against industrial property.
