Research by the Union of Hospitals of the State of São Paulo (SindHosp) shows that the predominant care in São Paulo hospitals continues to be that of patients with covid-19. According to the survey released today (13), which heard from 87 private hospitals in the state from December 1st to December 10th, consultations with patients with covid-19 represent 55% of the assistance provided in the period. That number was 49% in November. The research also shows that 95% of the hospitals consulted registered an increase in patients with suspected covid-19. Last month it was 84%. “Cases of patients with suspected covid-19 have grown compared to the previous month, but evolve without seriousness, not requiring hospitalization. However, we ratify the need for the population to wear a mask in places with agglomerations and maintain the health safety protocol with hand washing and comply with the vaccination schedule, especially in this holiday period, as there is a tendency for the disease to increase”, highlights the doctor Francisco Balestrin, president of SindHosp.
