The Federal Highway Police (PRF) launched Operation Rodovida today (15), already traditional at the end of one year and beginning of the next. The PRF intends to expand traffic inspection, increase the presence and availability of police officers on roads and highways, in places and times with a higher concentration of accident records. The operation will start tomorrow (16) and will continue until February 26, 2023, also reaching the Carnival holiday. Traffic education and inspection activities will be carried out, aimed at risky conduct by drivers and passengers, such as: undue overtaking, drunken driving, not using seat belts, inadequate transportation of children, lack of helmet use, excessive speed and use of cell phone while driving vehicles. Operation Rodovida was created in 2011 and encompasses actions by various bodies, not just the PRF. The Ministry of Justice coordinates the operation, which also has the participation of other ministries, such as Transport and Health. The idea is to act with greater presence of the security forces in times of greater concentration of accident records, on roads and highways. For this year, the user has one more option to activate the PRF and access the various services made available by the institution: the PRF Brasil app, which can be downloaded for free for iOs or Android and has an emergency button, a complaint option, among many other options. other options.
