The bulletin shows that between December 4th and 10th, that is, in Epidemiological Week (SE) 49, the number of SARS-positive cases for Sars-CoV-2 (covid-19) among the adult population in states of all regions of the country increased. The analysis is based on data entered in the Influenza Epidemiological Surveillance Information System (Sivep-Flu) up to December 12th. Faced with this situation, the coordinator of InfoGripe, Marcelo Gomes, draws attention to the need for care in the end-of-year celebrations. He recommends the use of appropriate masks on public transport, in closed or poorly ventilated places and in crowds. The measure is recommended until the epidemiological scenario returns to the situation of low circulation of Sars-CoV-2. Covid-19 The cases of covid-19, according to the bulletin, are the majority among SARS cases. In the last four epidemiological weeks, the prevalence among cases with a positive result for respiratory viruses was 1.2% for influenza A; 0% for influenza B; 0.5% for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV); and 94.8% for covid-19. Among the deaths, the presence of these same viruses among the positives was 1.2% for influenza A; 0.0% for influenza B; 0.5% for RSV; and 94.8% for covid. RSV maintains a significant presence in children aged 0 to 4 years in São Paulo. In the South Region, RSV also resumes growth among children in this age group. Trends The Bulletin shows growth in the long-term trend, that is, considering the last six weeks, and stability in the short-term trend, in the last three weeks. Of the 27 federative units, 21 show moderate SARS growth in the long-term trend up to SE 49: Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Federal District, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, Rondônia, Roraima, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and Tocantins. According to Fiocruz, in these states, cases increase among the adult population and in age groups over 60, associated with the increase in hospitalizations associated with covid-19. In Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, however, there is an interruption in the growth in the number of new weekly cases in all health macro-regions. In Paraíba, the drop is clear in macro-region I, which includes the capital João Pessoa. In the other macros, there are still signs of growth. Cases in 2022 The bulletin shows that, referring to the epidemiological year 2022, 279,678 cases of SARS were reported, of which 131,909 (47.2%) had a positive laboratory result for some respiratory virus, 119,132 (42.6%) were negative, and at least 15,981 (5.7%) awaiting laboratory results. Among the positive cases for the current year, 5% are Influenza A, 0.2% Influenza B, 9.7% RSV, and 76.9% Covid-19. So far this year, according to available data, 41,898 reported SARS deaths have been recorded, the majority due to covid. Of the total, 30,240 (72.2%) had a positive laboratory result for some respiratory virus, 9,412 (22.5%) were negative, and at least 907 (2.2%) are awaiting a laboratory result. Among the positives of the current year, 3.2% are Influenza A, 0.1% Influenza B, 0.8% respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and 94%, covid-19.
