A 9-year-old child who was injured in a landslide in Camboriú (SC) was discharged from the hospital, according to information from the municipal government. The incident, in the Jardim Aliança neighborhood, was caused by the rains that fell in the last few hours, in Santa Catarina. Two teenagers were buried in the incident: cousins Ketlin Arno Ribeiro, 16, and Elaine Soares Marques, 17. Still according to Camboriú city hall, it rained 260 millimeters in 24 hours, leaving 60% of the municipality flooded. More than 200 rescues were carried out by the Fire Department. About 90 people had to leave their homes and are staying in municipal shelters. The rains reached other municipalities in the region such as Balneário Camboriú, Itajaí, Porto Belo, Itapema and Penha, according to the Civil Defense. There were also impacts in the metropolitan region of Florianópolis. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), some highways in the state suffered from flooding or collapsed barriers, such as BR-101, BR-376 and BR-282.
