A vessel sank at Praia do Pântano do Sul in Florianópolis (SC) early this Thursday morning (22) and left one person dead. Twenty people were left in the waters after the vessel sank. The Arcanjo-01 helicopter was triggered at 6:45 am by the Santa Catarina Military Fire Brigade Center for an occurrence of the sinking of a fishing vessel, with the crew in the water and in danger. A vessel from the Search and Rescue Group – GBS moved through the water and a watercraft with a vehicle on land as well. The corporation reported that, upon arriving at the scene, firefighters confirmed the sinking of a vessel. According to the corporation, about 20 people were being rescued by another vessel passing by. One of the fishermen had drowned and was in cardiac arrest. The Archangel-01 aircraft rescued the drowned victim with the Sling equipment. The victim was taken to the beach to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation procedures and then with the medical team from Archangel-01 (Air Operations Battalion – BOA). Resuscitation maneuvers and procedures were performed, but the fisherman died. The other victims reached the beach safely with the support of the Floripa I vessel and also the Search and Rescue Group team that accompanied them with two jet skis. The occurrence was attended by the Military Fire Department through the Air Operations Battalion (BOA), with the Air Emergency Response Group (GRAU), from the Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU). The Legal Medical Institute (IML) and the Scientific Police (IGP) were triggered. The Brazilian Navy was requested to carry out the procedures related to the sunken vessel.
