The Federal Official Gazette (DOU) this Friday (23) brings the ordinance with the voluntary retirement of the former director of the Federal Highway Police, Silvinei Vasques, 47 years old, exonerated from his position this week. The benefit was granted “with full earnings and parity corresponding to the subsidy of the effective position”. In the PRF since 1995, Vasques has 27 years of contributions to Social Security. He can retire because he benefits from the rule in force when he entered the agency, which allows him to end his career with 20 years of police activity, regardless of age. Controversies The former director is accused of administrative impropriety in the Federal Court of Rio de Janeiro, accused of illegally asking for votes on a social network for President Jair Bolsonaro, during the last presidential campaign. Vasques is also investigated for commanding a series of barriers made by the PRF on the day of the second round of elections. In videos that circulated on election day, several northeastern voters on public transport complained that they were unable to reach polling places. The failure of the PRF to demobilize the roadblocks shortly after the announcement of the result of the second round of elections is also the subject of investigation. For the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, there are indications of political motivation in the case.
