Congress enacts readjustments for parliamentarian, minister and president

The President of the National Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco, enacted the readjustment of salaries of Ministers of State, deputies, senators, the President and the Vice President of the Republic. The text setting the subsidies was published today (26) in the Official Gazette. With the readjustment, Ministers of State, parliamentarians, President and Vice President of the Republic will receive R$ 46,366.19 in stages, of which R$ 39,293.32 from January 1, 2023; BRL 41,650.92 as of April 1, 2023; BRL 44,008.52 as of February 1, 2024; and R$46,366.19 as of February 1, 2025. According to the National Congress, the readjustments have an impact of R$2.5 billion on the 2023 Budget, an amount that was already foreseen in next year’s Budget project.
