This Friday (13) is the deadline for broadcasters and society to contribute to the elaboration of the schedule for flexibility or waiver of the A Voz do Brasil program for the year 2023. The Ministry of Communications carries out this consultation annually, in search of suggestions to a calendar that does not jeopardize the dissemination of events of local or national interest. “Date suggestions must be sent to the Ministry of Communications (MCom) through Public Consultation No. 12/2022, available on the Participa + Brasil platform. Through consultation, suggestions are sought for the preparation of a list of dates for the transmission of the program, in order to avoid conflicts of schedules for the dissemination of events considered of public interest, with great appeal or public repercussion – whether in the context of national, state, district or municipal. This is the case, for example, of traditional festivals, sports or educational events whose transmission needs to be interrupted by radio stations in order to broadcast the official information program of the Three Powers. “To contribute, it is necessary to indicate the date and time of the event, inform the scope, add proof of the exceptional public interest in the disclosure, as well as the incompatibility with the original times of retransmission of the program”, informs the minister. According to the folder, the retransmission of the program A Voz do Brasil is mandatory. “Daily, radio stations must broadcast the content between 7 pm and 10 pm, except on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays”. The ordinance that establishes the rules for flexibility and waiver of the program was published in 2020.
