The fear of lack of security prevents many Brazilians from reveling in Carnival. This is what reveals a survey by Serasa, which heard 1,573 consumers from the organ’s base, carried out between February 10th and 14th. With the objective of knowing the habits and perceptions of Brazilians about data security during the period of revelry, the survey points out that 74% of Brazilians have already stopped going to an event at Carnival thinking about their own safety and that of their goods. “Marked by the feeling of joy and celebration, the Brazilian carnival concentrates large crowds of people, generally in total relaxation and relaxation, a perfect climate for the action of scammers”, warns Aline Sanchez, manager of Serasa Premium. Documents For 48% of respondents, the feeling of fear in relation to fraud increases at this time of year. Among the interviewees, the items that they do not fail to take with them to the block or to the party are: cell phone, money and documents. Even with the cell phone in the spotlight, preference is still greater for the physical document (59%) to the detriment of the digital version in the cell phone application (41%). The same happens for those who use the credit and/or debit card as a means of payment at Carnival: 62% opt for the physical card, while 38% prefer to use the digital card (via digital wallet, smartwatch, tag, etc.) To help those who go to the streets and clubs to enjoy Momo’s revelry, Serasa launched the campaign Who seeks finds. The idea is to connect people who have found other people’s documents such as CPF, RG or CNH and those who are looking for lost materials. From a registration in the Serasa environment, the tool serves as a facilitator to connect these two people. “If it matches, the reveler who lost the document will receive an e-mail with the contact of the person who found it so that he can organize the time and conditions for delivery”, explains Aline Sanchez. The service will be available until the end of February.
