This Wednesday (8) ends the deadline for students approved in the regular call for the first edition of 2023 of the Unified Selection System (Sisu) to enroll in the institutions for which they were selected. Information about the documentation required for enrollment can be obtained from the Sisu Bulletin, available in the candidate’s enrollment environment, on the program’s page. There are institutions that provide an email address for sending documentation. Tips on how to access this service, when applicable, are also included in the bulletin. In this edition, 226,349 vacancies were offered for undergraduate courses in 128 participating public institutions, 63 of them in federal universities. According to the Ministry of Education, 1,073,024 people signed up for this edition of Sisu. Waiting list Anyone who enrolled in the program and was not selected in either of the two course options, regardless of having enrolled, can join the waiting list. The deadline for expressing interest in participating in this stage is 11:59 pm today. The call for candidates selected in this last stage of Sisu is expected to take place from March 13th. “Candidates must also follow the information disclosed by the educational institutions for which they compete for vacancies through the waiting list”, informed the Ministry of Education. Sisu The Unified Selection System brings together – on an electronic platform managed by MEC – vacancies offered by public institutions of higher education throughout Brazil, the vast majority being by federal institutions (universities and institutes). The system performs the selection of students based on the score of the National High School Exam (Enem). Up to the limit of vacancies per course and type of competition, according to the choices of registered candidates, they are selected in order of highest classification, in each of the two annual editions of Sisu.
