Four people died around 2:35 pm today (17) in a helicopter crash on Rua Pedro Luís Alves Siqueira, in the Barra Funda neighborhood, central region of São Paulo. Nine fire engines were sent to the scene. Investigators from the Fourth Regional Service for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Seripa IV), a regional body of the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa), were asked to take the initial action of the occurrence involving the aircraft registered PR-PGC. The registration of this registration in the Brazilian Aeronautical Registry informs that the owner of the helicopter is JBN Locações e Gestão de Aeronaves Eireli and its operator is Helimarte Táxi Aéreo e Geoglyfo Activities Geospatial. The model is from the manufacturer Robinson Helicopter. The year of manufacture is 2007. It has authorized operation for air taxi, and the airworthiness situation is normal. According to Cenipa, the investigation aims to prevent new accidents with similar characteristics. “The conclusion of the investigations will have the shortest possible time, always depending on the complexity of each occurrence and, also, on the need to discover the possible contributing factors”, the agency said in a note.
