The Federal Highway Police (PRF) started, this Thursday (6), Operation Holy Week, aimed at ensuring safety on federal highways during the Easter holiday. The operation runs until Sunday (9) with the intensification of inspections on the highways to curb infractions, crimes, in addition to educational actions. During this period, police personnel will be reinforced to ensure road safety in the 26 states and the Federal District. The focus of inspection will be on speeding, responsible for 21,980 violations on the 2022 holiday. to last year. The lack of seat belts and mixing alcohol and driving are also targets of the operation. The inspection actions carried out by the PRF in Operation Holy Week are aimed at combating speeding. Drivers insist on disregarding speed limits and pose risks to themselves and other road users.
