The capital of São Paulo had this Thursday (20) the coldest morning of the year, with an average low of 13.5° degrees Celsius (C) and an absolute low of 8.8° C in Engenheiro Marsilac, in the extreme south of the city. With the arrival of a mass of cold air, night and dawn temperatures should remain low in the coming days. Homeless population To reduce the impact of the cold weather on the homeless population, the city of São Paulo is going to install three tents. Two spaces will be located in the central part of the city, at Praça da República and at Praça Marechal Deodoro. A tent will also be placed at Praça Cid José da Silva Campanella, in Mooca, east zone. According to the municipal administration, hot drinks, blankets and transportation to host services will be offered in the spaces. The Municipal Secretariat for Assistance and Social Development will provide 300 emergency vacancies at Ginásio da Portuguesa, in the north zone, and in the municipal clubs of Santana (north zone), Independência (south zone), and Barra Funda (west zone). The capital of São Paulo has approximately 22,000 reception spaces in various services throughout the city.
